Apartment Fire Injures Woman, Displaces Five In Poughkeepsie

One person was injured during an apartment fire in Poughkeepsie that left five residents displaced, said the City of Poughkeepsie Fire Department.

The first-floor fire was reported around 9:13 p.m., Sunday, March 31, at 465 Maple Street, at the Corlies Manor Apartments, said the Poughkeepsie Fire Department.

The injured woman was transported to MidHudson Regional Hospital with unknown injuries, officials said.

Firefighters extinguished the blaze within 30 minutes.

The cause of the fire remains under investigation. 

The Arlington and Fairview fire departments assisted on the scene, along with Mobile Life and Northern Dutchess Paramedics. 

The Mid-Hudson Valley chapter of the American Red Cross was on the scene to provide assistance to the displaced residents.
